Equal Employment Opportunity laws prohibit employment discrimination based on race, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, and some other factors. Income & Payroll Taxes are required to be withheld in order to pay state and federal taxes. Social Security Administration administers retirement, disability programs, Medicare and others. Occupational Safety and Health Administration establishes and enforces protective standards for the work place. The Fidelity Bonding Program protects employers against employee dishonesty, theft or embezzlement.
