Hire the Future

Hire the Future (HTF) is designed to facilitate the transition of young adults, between 16 and 24 years of age, into adulthood and into the workplace. HTF program provides students with exposure to the workplace environment including an understanding of work requirements and education and necessary skills needed.

Steps to Enroll
  1. Complete the Illinois JobLink Enrollment form.
  2. For youth who are still enrolled in high school, have the student's guidance counselor complete the Reference Form.
  3. Use the IDES Office Locator to bring the completed forms to the office nearest you or for further information call:  (312)793-1289
  4. Participating youth will create an Illinois JobLink (IJL) profile in order to receive Hire the Future career program services
