Job seekers can now get help identifying new careers for their skills. The Department has a new tool called TORQ, which helps job seekers learn how their skills could transfer to new types of jobs. TORQ stands for Transferable Occupation Relationship Quotient and is accessible only through staff at Illinois workNet Centers. Job seekers who want to take advantage of this skills transfer service should see an Illinois workNet Center staff person, who will initiate the skills transfer process.
